Vettel excludes start in formula E

Formula E is becoming more and more interesting for used Formula One drivers looking for a connecting career. Felipe Massa, Stoffel Vandoorne, Jean-Eric Vergne, Pascal Wehrlein, Lucas di Grassi and Sebastien Buemi are examples of this.

Speculation about a career of Sebastian Vettel, although only 31 years old, has increased in recent weeks. Ferrari has fallen behind Mercedes again, and Charles Leclerc is already putting a lot of pressure on the four-time world champion.

But Vettel makes it clear in the interview with Auto Image Motorsport: “The electric formula series is not an option at the moment.” I’ve got a contract with Ferrari by the end of 2020’s, so I’m still driving. The formula E or tour car is currently excluded.”

One thing he has not lost despite all the pressure: his humor. The first question of the reporter (“How long are you going to drive?”) he answers with the words: “I will always drive something as long as nobody takes away my license.”
