Schalke wants to “tie Kenny longer” -Rashica probably too expensive

The budget at FC Schalke 04 for new entrances is not very high. For Werder-Star Milot Rashica, for example, the money will probably not be enough. At least the football league wants to try everything to keep its quarterback Jonjoe Kenny in the Ruhr area for the end of the season.

“We are happy that we have him”, S04-Sports Board Jochen Schneider is quoted in the “Sports Image” quoting: “Not only as a player, but also as a person and a type he fits Schalke. I hope that we will not lose the chance to tie him to us any longer.”

The legal defender has been part of the buttons since summer, with his tribal association FC Everton he still has a contract until 2022. Schalke does not have a purchase option for the English U21 national player, a transfer in the summer could be expensive accordingly.

After all, Schneider can look a little more relaxed towards the winter transfer phase after the good start of the season. The players who were still labeled as flops in the previous season, such as Salif Sane, Amine Harit, Omar Mascarell or Suat Serdar, are shooting at this time of the game. There will be no turning back. The basis that we have is too good for that, Schneider makes it clear.

Therefore “it would not make sense to make a radical cut”, in the future quality should prevail over quantity in terms of new access. Money for a firm commitment from Jonjoe Kenny would thus be available.

Real Storm in the focus of Schalke 04? According to reports, however, a new attacker for the storm center will be sought in the winter. The last Milot Rashica of Werder Bremen, however, is said to be “Sport Bild” from the race. With its market value of more than 20 million euros, the attacker was simply too expensive.

The focus was on Mariano Diaz from the Spanish top club Real Madrid. The 26-year-old does not get on the train at all under trainer Zinedine Zidane and is therefore considered a candidate for the royal flowers. At the same time, however, the district club also focuses on its own youth.

“We can be proud to have Norbert Elgert as the best junior trainer in the whole of Germany in the club,” Schneider praised the U19 coach. Recently, Levent Mercan and Ahmed Kutucu made the leap to the pros, who were long-term contractors.
