“Marco plays these rounds excellently”, praised Matthias Sammer in his role as TV expert at “Eurosport”. “However, these values are always subjective, as it is objectively not measurable. The other nominees would also have deserved it all,”added the 51-year-old, who is also active as a consultant at the BVB.
“Marco has taken a remarkably nice development. He’s an identification figure. Looking at the statements in interviews and together with the captain’s bond, he has taken a big step forward. He is a worthy captain at Borussia Dortmund,”Sammer praised.
