Norway’s Handball Women Grab the EM Crown

For the eighth time, Norway’s record champion handballers have won the championship. The Scandinavians defeated France 22:20 (14:10) in the Danish Herning final, crowning their strong performances during the tournament. Only twice in this millennium, the European Champion was not called Norway.

The Norwegians had added the highest bankruptcy of their national history to the selection of the German Handball Federation (DHB) at 42:23 in the preliminary round. Otherwise, the record European Champion dominated during the tournament in Denmark, until the semi-final victory against the host (27:24) no opponent was present at eye level.

The third place was secured by the Croatian surprise team after the 25:19 (11:11) against Denmark. The DHB women of German coach Henk Groener had the intended semi-final after the 20:23 to the main round against the Croatians.
